About the event

BOOK DIRECTLY WITH JW3!

One-off London performance of this brand new show created in response to the war between Israel and Hamas.

Robbie Gringras and top Israeli musician Adam Mader (usually seen performing with superband Teapacks) perform Israeli songs whose meaning has changed forever in the wake of the war, tell stories that are now cast in a different light, and share anecdotes, observations and interpretations of a country in pain.

Touching on trust, chutzpah, rage, togetherness, and humor, this elegaic evening invites the audience to sit with the sadness and look towards the light.

Some recommendations:

  • "a beautiful and soulful journey of story and song in a post October 7th Israel. Come Sit With Me is what I needed at this moment." (R Josh Weinberg, URJ)
  • "Robbie Gringras, a veteran and sensitive Israel engagement specialist, has, once again, managed to capture the inner voice of Israelis and bring those voices to the attention of Jewish communities around the world. He does it with talent, wisdom, humor and good taste. Together with the musician Adam Mader, they manage to convey the spirit of Israelis in a time when Jewish unity is such a required commodity." (Dr Elan Ezrachi)
  • “Come sit with me was a balm for the soul" (Adina Frydman, CEO Young Judaea)
  • "A chance to hear the soul of Israel and the Jewish people at this moment reflected through songs and stories. It highlights the pain, and also the whole hearts, that so many of us are holding at this moment." (Dr Samantha Vinokor-Meinrath, Jewish Education Project)
  • “Enchanting balm for the Jewish soul in troubled Israel. With powerful music and insightful stories, Robbie and Adam display great talent as they illuminate the Israeli reality in poetic ways. A must-have component for missions and seminars.” (Yonatan Ariel)
